Motherhood is the biggest gamble in the world. It is the glorious life force. It’s huge and scary—it’s an act of infinite optimism.” – Gilda Radner
For a first time mum it surely does get scary, but with time you will manage it, it won’t even seem like a task anymore. Motherhood will make you both tired and happy, I have analysed alot of things from my motherhood experience. I never knew I could learn so much withing such a short period of time. My son is brilliant, watching him grow melts my heart I love him just like any mother out there loves their children, now you understand why your parents are so protective over you and sometimes you think they are too much. No!there is no vocabulary like too much for a mother. We love our babies forever. So I will share with you some very important aspects I have learned since I became a mother and it never stops there.
Everything about handling your baby requires patience, those sleepless nights requires patience, if your baby is colicky that’s the toughest moment. Just keep on breathing in and out and try and sooth them. Yeah! breathing in and out helps,it relaxes you and enables you to stay focused. I have learnt how to be patient and it helps me also to handle my external affairs. Patience is important.
You will eventually learn how to manage your time even if you were poor at it before. You will know when your baby needs to feed, when she is hungry, when she needs to be put to sleep. plan yourself accordingly so that you don’t end up feeling exhausted. It will eventually get easy, time management is very crucial especially when she is still a newborn. You will adjust and it will be so much fun.
You can never be a perfect mother
There is no perfection in motherhood, you will try your best to give it your all but it can never be perfect. You are putting your best foot forward, you are an amazing motheryes. But don’t strive for perfection. Just do what you can and in a way that you understand better.
Always think twice
Before you do anything you think, you are always thinking twice as a mother you don’t want any mishaps. You are too careful and you monitor your baby more than anything. Especially the toughest milestones like crawling and learning to walk, am yet to get there but prepared. Which reminds me of the scouts Motto,As a parent always be prepared.
