Have you ever met a youth who is constantly complaining about how they have been neglected by their family or friends, or how its their parents fault that they failed in life? I have met quite a few, with no proper education, so basically there is nothing much going on in their lives. Yes its called the power of decision making. We us youths or individuals are responsible for the choices we make in life, its therefore our duty to take full responsibility and be in charge, you rule your life. You are the boss of that path so quit acting like people or the world owes you something. Your parents sacrificed hard to see you through now its your turn to take charge and make the right choices. And by the way the decisions you make now will forever affect your life whether you like it or not.
How much is a gallon of water worth?
Well, if you’re reading this, you can probably get a gallon of water for pennies from your kitchen tap. Yet, if you were dying of thirst in a desert, you’d happily pay a hundred bucks for it, right? On the other hand, you’d pay a hundred bucks an hour for a plumber to avoid the water being there in the first place (in your flooded basement, that is).
Many people believe value is intrinsic to an object. Sure, water is water , but its value varies enormously depending on what you need it for. What am trying to imply here? Decision making is a personal business its not even that easy but you have to try. learn the value of everything, there is no better car, no better job, no better life to be lived. its about assessing whats valuable to you. Value is in the eye of the decision maker. Always decide on your own, make choices that only you understand their values, dont let anyone make decisions for you, yes their intentions maybe really good and they really want to help you but please understand that people have different values.
Now here’s some great news: If you have made foolish choices (and we’ve all done it at times in our lives) and you’re not happy with the way things are, you can change. But you have to be willing to take responsibility for your wrong choices and make a determined decision to change the way you behave. When you do, you’ll find that every right choice you make helps reverse the wrong decisions you’ve made in the past. its never to late to start over again.Stephen R. Covey says in the article But until a person can say deeply and honestly, “I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday,” that person cannot say, “I choose otherwise.”
